ANECOOP was host for the Pro-Enrich bi-annual general assembly, which took place on 15th and 16th of November in Valencia, Spain. The event was organized by Nicolás Juste, from ANECOOP in close collaboration with Jose María Pinilla from NATAC.
On the first day of the meeting, all partners were updated on status of the individual work packages in the project and forthcoming activities were strategically planned. In addition to up-dating all partners on the progress of the project, the first day also included visits to the Janus Fruit’s producing plant and the San Vicente Ferrer of Benaguacil orange producing cooperative. The site-visits gave project partners the opportunity to see how residues from processing of citrus fruits are generated.
The second day of the assembly started with joint administrative reporting. Following a steering committee meeting (for WP leaders) and a parallel workshop on dissemination materials too place. Updated Pro-Enrich roll-up, poster, brochure, fact-sheet can now be downloaded from from the Pro-Enrich webpage.
The general assembly was concluded with a round tour of Valencia. Nicolás Juste guided participants through the city center of Valencia. Unfortunately, heavy rain shortened the tour, a big surprise, especially for the North European partners. In spite of some wet clothes, everyone had a good time and spirits were high when participants started their travels home.
Many thanks to Nicolás Juste (ANECOOP) and Jose María Pinilla (NATAC) for hosting and coordinating the meeting.
